Q) Why doesn't it work when I search for "1950's" or "1980's" etc?

A) For some reason our search system doesn't like apostrophes! Instead of this, try searching "1950" or "1980" and your seach results should be much better!

Q) Why, when I search for "flapper dress" for example, does it give me 14 pages of non-flapper dresses!?

A) We apologise for this! Unfortunately, our search system registers every word individually rather than a phrase. So it will present you with every item containing the word "dress"! We advise that you ONLY use the key word - such as "flapper" or "floral" or "lace" etc.

Q) What are your postage and shipping costs?
A) Prices shown on the website are exclusive of postage & packaging costs. These costs are calculated according to geographical location and weight. Once payment is cleared, your order will be despatched as follows:

Q) How long will it take to receive my items?
A) Orders will be shipped within 1-2 business days of payment being cleared. We ship using Royal Mail First Class Recorded service (UK) and Royal Mail International Signed For service ( EU & ROW ). We cannot be held responsible for how long it takes Royal Mail take to deliver any item once it has been dispatched by us. Any delays because of postal disputes or disruptions are also out of our control and we cannot be held responsible for any ensuing delays in delivery. Please note that if you miss the delivery of your item, it is the sole responsibility of the customer to re-arrange delivery.

 

Q) What happens if I want to return an item?  
A) Please see our Terms & Conditions section for the cancellation and returns policy.

 

Q) Do you rent or loan for press shoots? 
A) Yes, with a background in music, television and fashion PR, we’re pretty savvy on this stuff, so either check our Press & Links section for more info, or contact laura@lovemissdaisy.com for high res images, rental prices or celebrity loans.

 

Q) Are my credit card details safe when shopping with Love Miss Daisy?

A) Love Miss Daisy processes payments using Worldpay and SSL (Secure Socket Layer). This means your credit card details are protected and kept private. You can be sure the payment process is secure by looking at the URL in your "location" bar when entering the Worldpay payment section: you will see "https://" at the beginning of the URL instead of the usual "http://".

 

Q) How often are new items added?
A) New items are added every week, sometimes every day! So be sure to keep checking in and keep an eye on the “Latest Products” section!

 

Q) How do you grade your items? 
A) Love, Miss Daisy only selects and sells wearable vintage items, most of which are in mint, excellent or very good condition.
Most of the items sold by Love, Miss Daisy have been previously owned and as such might have slight imperfections. We strive to give the best representation of each item through detailed descriptions and photographs. We ask you to remember that flaws or blemishes often enhance the charm and authenticity of vintage pieces. All items are sold on a sold as seen basis.

MINT:  Vintage goods which appear to be in perfect condition. Appear to be unworn and/or completely flawless.
EXCELLENT:  Vintage goods which have been worn or used but show little or no signs of wear and tear or visible imperfections.
VERY GOOD: Vintage goods which have been worn or used and have some minor signs of wear and tear, repair or alterations which do not affect wearability from time of purchase.
GOOD:  Vintage goods which have been worn or used and show visible signs of wear and tear such as small stains, tiny holes, discolouration or small defects. Generally wearable but repair sometimes needed. 
FAIR: Vintage goods with numerous visible flaws. Possibly wearable after repair but much attention needed.

 

Q) How do you measure each garment?
A) Some pieces are individually measured due to their unique design, but generally we will lay the item flat and measure according to the guidelines on the diagram below. We also generally include an estimated UK size according to these measurements.
