This is a stunning pale cream lace wedding dress from the 1950's. Please note that the dress is creamier in colour than the photographs suggest. It has a wide scooped neckline which is piped in satin. The sleeves are 3/4 length and also piped in satin with little bows. There is an illusion neckline and the bodice is lined in cream silk acetate. The waist is princess style and the skirt is very full with an unusual scooped up hemline which gives it a gentle puff ball effect. The hem is gathered up to little bows to give a very pretty scalloped effect. There is an under layer of tiered tulle and a cream satin acetate petticoat. The dress fastens with a back metal zip and there is a little bow at the top of the zip.
Measurements:
bust: 36" ( the model is actually a 32" bust and the dress is not pinned )
waist: 26"
hips: 26"
length: 47"
Approximately UK size 8/10 ( hourglass )
1950's / CONDITION: Very good - a few very small and very pale marks needing extremely close scrutiny. There is a straight 3" break in the lace at the elbow of one sleeve which is easily repairable.
