SOLD - Ethereal vintage 1940s ivory wedding dress

This is a demure elegantly styled wedding dress from the 40's. It has a fine soft lace bodice with a large fold flat pointed collar and a row of silver pearl buttons down the centre to the rolled basque waistline. The long sleeves have pointed cuffs which fasten with a press stud. The skirt is made of gossamer fine meshed net over a synthetic satin underskirt. There is a muslin petticoat under the satin. The dress is completed with a stitched in satin loose fastening bow. It fastens at the side with a metal zip.

1940's / CONDITION: very good - there is a 1" vertical tear in the top layer which is difficult to see without close scrutiny. It could be mended with some nifty needlework. The zip is working but is quite delicate as would be expected for it's age.
