Vintage 1960's rayon dress and cardigan set by Adele Martin

This is a gorgeous 60's sleeveless wiggle dress and cardi set. The dress is made from pale green rayon embroidered with a pattern of dark green and mustard circles. There is a high round neck and the waist is seamed. The dress has a stiffened buckled belt and a 5" kick vent at the back hemline. The bodice is fitted with darts above the waistline both front and back, and the skirt is straight to give a very sexy silhouette. The matching fine knit short sleeve cardigan is made from orlon acrylic but has the look and feel of very soft wool. The Peter Pan collar is made of linen to match the dress, and trimmed in bands of green and mustard, as is the centre front opening. There are no buttons or fastenings. Two interlocking embroidered circles in green and mustard, and trimmed with a sweet green bow, adorn the right side of the cardi. This pulls the look of the set together.  The cardigan has a blue ILGWU label and a store label - Harzfeld's Kansas City. A truly versatile combination!

1960's / CONDITION: Very good - the dress has a tiny faint mark just to the right of the left side bodice dart.

The cardigan has some rust marks inside the right front opening which cannot be seen. Also two grey pinhead marks on the right sleeve.
