This is a beautiful cocktail dress from the 50's. There are no fabric labels but it looks and feels like soft slub silk, although it could be a silk effect man made fibre. It features a bold abstract rose design in shades of black and blue on a cream background. It has short sleeves and a round neckline. It has an over hanging bodice with pleating and a small bow to one side. The skirt falls straight and there is a kick vent at the centre back hem. the dress is lined in cream silk acetate and it fastens with a back metal zip.
