This is a beautiful navy blue dress from the 1940's made from a gossamer fine semi sheer fabric. The cream mannequin can be seen through the bodice so you may need a slip with this dress. It has 3/4 sleeves with turn back cuffs. The bodice has a narrow square neckline which is inset with a modesty panel of antique cream lace. There are two shaped beadedand sequined panels at the front bodice and the waist is seamed. The skirt is very full and falls from tiny knife pleats. The dress fastens at one side seam with press studs. Stunning.
Vintage items rarely conform to modern day sizings and the UK size we give is only a guide. You are advised to check the measurements carefully to ensure a good fit.
Approximately UK size 14
1940's / CONDITION: Very good - some small patches of thinning in the fabric which need very close scrutiny. Two patches in the skirt which are lost in the folds but could be finely darned if required.
